Moving NOLA Bicycle Network
New Orleans, Louisiana managed to construct 27 miles of new “high comfort” bikeways, predominantly in the historically underserved Algiers neighborhood. New Orleans offered the highest concentration of new protected bike lanes.
" Addressing traffic safety is one of the core values of my approach to transportation in the City of New Orleans, regardless of how we move around our city. We are rethinking our roadways and making them better for everyone – people walking, bicycling, driving and riding transit. Everyone is safer because of these investments, and we will demonstrate that every single day. "
Latoya Cantrell, Mayor
City of New Orleans
